When can you retire?
An Ontario teacher pension estimate. Enter your age, years of service, and salary to see your 85 factor date and roughly what your OTPP pension would be.
You retire with a full pension at your 85 factor (age + years of service = 85), or at age 65, whichever comes first. Your pension is 2% × your years × your best-five-year average salary.
A rough estimate using OTPP's rules: unreduced at your 85 factor (age + years) or age 65, and 2% × years × best-five salary. It uses your current salary as a stand-in for the best-five average, treats your service as full-time, and doesn't model the drop at 65 when the pension integrates with CPP.
